I'm seeking organ / keyboard supply opportunities at churches and other venues. I'm also interested in short- to longer-term interim church musician positions.

Worship Facilitation and Leadership

In the local church

Guest organist and pianist at Northminster Presbyterian, Linda Vista Presbyterian, Christ Lutheran, All Saints Lutheran, University Lutheran, all in San Diego, California.

Planning, implementing, and leading liturgical and musical aspects of worship, including coordinating music with the weekly lectionary; leading youth and adult choirs; coaching and accompanying cantors, soloists and ensembles; composing hymn tunes, accompaniments, and obbligatos to hymns and incidental music.

Planning structure, content, and pace of worship; writing and modifying liturgies; recruiting and preparing lay worship leaders and participants.

My more formal musical experience includes

Solo organ and piano performances at venues that include Kresge Auditorium MIT, Old West Church, Old North Church, King's Chapel, Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church—Boston, Massachusetts; featured recitalist and accompanist for several local recital series; vocal recital accompanist at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and at Brown Hall, Boston.

Extensive experience working as a vocal studio accompanist, accompanying solo instrumentalists, instrumental ensembles, choirs, chorales, and vocalists on piano and organ for rehearsal and public performance. Accompanist for church and community choral groups.

Teaching piano and organ at beginner, intermediate, and artist levels to children, youth and adults.

Very fluent sight-reading; realizing figured bass at sight; reading open score; transposing at sight; reading all clefs; basic improvisation.
